Facts about Post Falls, Idaho & Vicinity
- Our neighbour, Coeur d’Alene is the largest city in northern Idaho with a population of 41,328. Kootenai County has a total population is 131,507.
- Post Falls is located 20 miles east of Spokane and 90 miles south of the Canadian border. Seattle, WA is 330 miles to the west.
- Regional airports include the Spokane International Airport, located 40 miles to the west in Spokane, WA; and the Coeur d’Alene airport which provides private/charter air service. Interstate 90 bisects the community offering easy access to major cities west and east.
- The region offers a “four-seasons” climate; along with four fabulous seasons of outdoor recreation!
- The region is a mecca for golf and ski buff (both water and snow).
- Lakes and rivers abound throughout northern Idaho. Lake Coeur d’Alene is 25 miles long and encompasses 135 miles of shoreline; with an average depth of 120 feet. Other nearby lakes include Lake Pend Oreille, Hayden Lake, Fernan Lake, Twin Lakes and Spirit Lake. Area rivers are the St. Joe River, Coeur d’Alene and Spokane Rivers.
