Mark Poirier, PGA – Head Golf Professional
Mark has been the Head PGA Golf Professional/Director of Instruction here at The Highlands for the last 5 years. He has over 13 years of teaching experience with a clientele ranging from juniors and beginners to collegiate players. He has a deep understanding of the golf swing, but most importantly, can communicate these concepts to golfers of all skill levels. Mark doesn’t believe in one single swing methodology; he studies multiple techniques to be able to help any golfer, no matter their ability, size, flexibility, learning style, or age. He wants his students to have knowledge to be able to ultimately self-correct when away from the lesson tee. Mark holds two degrees in both Business Management and Human Recourses from Eastern Washington University, where he played college golf. Mark grew up on a farm in a small town in central Washington and enjoys winter steelhead fishing in the off season. He is married to his beautiful wife Megan. They have 2 kids, Logan and Luke, and a yellow Labrador named Bella.
